The Claire Giannini Fund supports pre-selected programs, conducted by public charities or governmental entities, that promote the health and well-being of young people under 18. From 2012 through 2014, the Fund has emphasized the following areas:
Medical research activities at leading Northern California universities/institutions focusing on the practical application of leading-edge technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of eye and ear diseases affecting young children
Programs that serve and empower girls in Monterey County and Santa Cruz County, California
Early childhood education programs provided by selected colleges in Monterey County and Santa Cruz County, California, for children whose parents or guardians are students
Programs serving children and teens living in the Kansas City, Missouri, metropolitan area
Prevention of violence affecting children and teens in Monterey County and Santa Cruz County, California
